Dear Ask Anonymous,
I hate my best friend. I really do. She’s a bitch, she’s hypocritical about everything I do, she never knows when to shut up, and all she ever does is make fun of me. I’m sick of it. I’m sick of all her shit, and I just want to get out of this friendship half the time. But then the other half, she’s great. Sometimes she’s there for me when I need it. Sometimes she’s fun to hang out with. I don’t know what to do. Help?

Dear “J”,
First off I’d like to say if you hated this girl, you wouldn’t refer to her as your “best friend”. So no matter how much you don’t like her at times, it’s apparent to me you don’t hate her. If you hated her, you wouldn’t have to ask me about this, because you would have dropped the bitch. Trust me on that.
Now that I’ve established that, on to the advice. Everybody has their flaws. She’s only human, and she can’t help but be a little bitchy at times. Just give her some space when she looks like she needs it, and if you can tell she’s in a mood try to be careful with your words. Don’t be afraid to tell her when she’s crossing the line. Warn her the friendship is at stake. That’ll open her eyes up.
The only options here are to drop her, or try to fix the whole problem. I’d highly suggest number two, but you can do whatever you’d like. Hope I’ve helped you.
